India has been vulnerable to Natural disasters on account of its unique geo-climate conditions. Floods, Drought, Cyclone, Earthquake and Landslides have been a regular phenomenon. About 60% of landmass is prone to earthquake of various intensities, 40% million hectares of land is prone to floods, 8% of total area is prone to cyclone which covers around 8,000 kms stretch of India’s coastal line, 68% of the area is vulnerable to draught.

Delhi the capital of India, spreads across 1450 sq. mts. Which area covers both the eastern and east banks of river Yamuna. The National capital territory of Delhi is significant, not only historically, but in the modern era too. Over a couple of [past decades, Delhi has emerged to the Socio-Economic hub of India, Delhi is the comprised of presently Eleven revenue districts and Twelve according to Police setups and St. John Ambulance has organized its setup as per revenue set up.

St. John Ambulance in India with its both Wings i.e. Association and Brigade is social humanitarian, multi –social, voluntary organization known for its service to mankind. It also functions as an Ambulance Wing of Indian Red Cross Society for its Ambulance and Nursing work and providing manpower for relief work under Indian Red Cross Society Act. 1920. It is engaged for all kinds of relief and charitable services to mitigate sufferings of persons.
